Head-to-head

Room Profit vs the Cloudbeds Marketplace

This is a comparison between two separate ecosystems, not two products. Room Profit runs on Profitroom Suite; the Cloudbeds Marketplace runs on Cloudbeds. If you're on one, you're not really comparing — you're picking the vendor ecosystem your CRS/PMS forces you into. If you're deciding between the two stacks, this page is for you.

Room Profit vs Cloudbeds Marketplace

The core distinction

Cloudbeds is a full PMS + channel manager + booking engine in one platform, with a marketplace of add-ons on top. Profitroom Suite is a CRS + channel manager + booking engine (no front-office PMS), designed for European independent hotels, with an ecosystem of add-ons (of which Room Profit is one). Both stacks are legitimate; they optimise for different workflows. The comparison below is only useful if you have the flexibility to pick.

Where Cloudbeds Marketplace wins

If your operation is PMS-first — front-desk, folio management, housekeeping tightly linked to check-ins — Cloudbeds is the natural home and its marketplace covers that surface deeply. Cloudbeds also has a mature global vendor base, so if you need an integration into a US-specific accounting tool or a South-American local payment method, the coverage is better there than in the Profitroom ecosystem.

Where Room Profit + Profitroom wins

Three things: European independent-hotel-shaped defaults, Polish-market-specific tax and language, and one vendor (us) responsible for every add-on you deploy so your onboarding path doesn't fragment. Autopricer's pace-and-pickup engine is deeper than any Cloudbeds Marketplace equivalent we've seen — because Profitroom exposes the primitives natively and Cloudbeds doesn't. If your priority is EU-first distribution, revenue automation, and Polish invoicing, this stack is stronger.

Pricing side-by-side

Typical fully-loaded three-module stack (rate automation + WhatsApp + VAT/KSeF) on Room Profit runs EUR 180–260/property/month. The equivalent Cloudbeds Marketplace stack — a rate-automation vendor plus a messaging vendor plus a compliant Polish invoicing vendor — usually lands EUR 250–380/property/month, depending on which vendors you pick and what your Cloudbeds base subscription includes. Neither number includes the base CRS/PMS licence itself.

Migration between the two

We do not migrate hotels from Cloudbeds to Profitroom and we do not run any Cloudbeds integrations. If you're on Cloudbeds today, this page is decision-support only. If you're on Profitroom and thinking about Cloudbeds, we'll happily give you our honest read on whether that's the right move — some estates should absolutely switch.

Making the call

If your #1 pain is front-desk ops, look at Cloudbeds. If your #1 pain is revenue automation, EU distribution, or Polish VAT, look at us + Profitroom. If you have both pains, you probably need to change one part of the stack first before adding modules — email sales@profit.dapokl.com and we'll walk through it with no obligation.
